Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a talented Sr Associate, Technical Training to support training for the Mason Space & Sensors facility and work with functional organizations to establish course content and objectives. Will ensure course material always reflects current compliance requirements. May instruct and support participants in classroom lectures and online sessions. Works to achieve operational targets for projects as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Create and support development and management of technical training programs and related materials in support of functional organizations, including:
- Maintenance of training records within the learning management system (LMS)
- Periodic review of course material to ensure applicability and work with organization to update as required
- Support and/or establish cross-department training projects
- Utilize systems approach to building repository for training records (including OJT) for operations and support personnel, including identification of opportunities for innovation
- In coordination with Quality Systems and other cross-functional teams, identify opportunities for problem solving, innovation, and root cause analysis within training environment
- Supports operational plans for job area with short-to mid-term results (e.g. 1-2 years)
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years direct experience in technical and professional training using current adult learning principles
- Experience with a Learning Management System (online system or training database) such as Success Factors
- Understanding of a structured on-the-job training program
- Experienced in working with cross-organizational and cross-functional teams of all levels
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in successfully supporting training projects using project and change management principles
- Knowledge of compliance standards and practices in relation to training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience working in an AS9100 or similar regulatory environment
- CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) Designation an asset
