Job Description:

As part of our team, you'll design and develop innovative public safety products, impacting millions globally through our critical communication radio systems used by police, fire, EMS, military, and commercial entities.
Essential Functions:
- Network requirements gathering: Collecting network requirements to produce configurations for routers, switches, and firewalls
- Network Configuration Templates: Developing templates that technicians or junior engineers can apply
- Network Concepts Mastery: Understanding and mastering network concepts and technical standards
- Design Reviews: Participating in the design review of network architectures with both internal and external customers
- Configuration Management and Automation: Utilizing tools for network auditing and configuration
- Network Implementation Expertise: Acting as the subject matter expert for network implementations across multiple projects
- 25%-35% travel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Experience with Cisco network implementation
- Experience in network design and architecture and demonstrated ability to implement and troubleshoot network solutions
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles, including QOS, WAN, L2/L3 technologies, dynamic routing, and redundancy protocols
- Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and procedures
- Experienced in network automation using Python, Ansible, or other automation tools
- Experience identifying system requirements while interfacing with internal and external customers
- In depth knowledge of Cisco ISR G2’s and classic IOS, as well as, Cisco ISR 4K’s and IOS-XE
- In depth knowledge of Cisco FMC & FTD firewall platforms
- Professional certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are a plus
- Knowledge of programming technologies, including VBA and C#
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of Information Systems Security and Information Assurance (i.e. DISA STIGs, IAVAs, CVE, Nessus)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent project tasks and prioritize them appropriately
- Has clear & concise ability to communicate issues in a less technical sense to management and business
- Demonstrate leadership skills which include customer focus, change management, teamwork, diversity, and integrity
- Self-motivated team player, able to set priorities and manage to deadlines
- Excellent trouble-shooting, communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems
- Proven mentoring capabilities
