Job Description:
L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Communications Lead to join the Cost Engineering and Analytics Department (CEAD) within the Systems Engineering organization) and manage communication initiatives as CEAD expands parametric cost modeling product lines to enable parametric bidding in our various business units. CEAD’s mission is to provide robust, efficient cost engineering and analytics to key decision makers throughout the opportunity and program life cycle. Successful candidate will work with CEAD Leadership and subject matter experts to plan, implement, and coordinate internal or external communications for cost estimating and analytics.
This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments. Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities and strategy for communication development and execution. Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to functional and/or business areas. Experience with content development and management of website / Community of Interest sites. Develop and administer communication methods, branding guidelines, and editorial procedures consistent with the organization’s strategic direction. CEAD’s vision is to become a world class, centralized cost engineering and analytics organization supporting L3Harris SAS growth to become a top tier Prime exemplified by fully collaborative and cross-segment alignment with respect to parametric cost estimating. As a member of the CEAD Product Line Development Team, you will have the responsibility to interface with multiple business areas, understand their product, and work with the CEAD Team to execute the communication strategy and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
Occasional travel is required.
Essential Functions:
- Works under general supervision and will be responsible for the task leadership of one or more key focus areas to include the daily oversight of courseware development activities and interfacing with the integrated project team and customer.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
- Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are typically solved through advanced education or past experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics
- Some travel required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant communications experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Professional experience in developing and managing communication methods across internal or external channels
- Experience with managing content on multiple media formats for messaging
- Operational knowledge of pursuit and proposal phases and program lifecycles.
- Experience communicating with functional and business leadership
- Professional experience adhering to security and compliance regulations
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active security clearance is highly preferred
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $86,000.00 - $159,500.00. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $98,500.00-$182,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
