Job Description:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by leading the effort to develop a suite of Standard Work across an optimized Production and Supply Planning process map. They will be responsible for managing a team of planners to optimize key performance metrics including inventory management, requisition on time release, PO lines meeting manufacturing need dates, customer on time delivery, and WIP optimization. Successful candidate will also collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Program Managers, Quality, and Material Program Managers in securing the best solutions for new or existing programs.
This role will report directly to the Director, Supply Chain and is responsible for research and benchmark current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, inventory capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges for each production line.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a suite of Standard Work across the Planning functions
- Lead production scenario planning to optimize business results
- Develop and implement, in conjunction with Program Management, Supply Chain and Operations teams, material management strategies including:
- Operations build plan alignment to Integrated Planning Process
- Customer on time delivery tracking and risk management
- Inventory optimization
- WIP tracking
- Continuous improvement, product line material roadmaps, and planning / stakeholder collaboration
- Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers, key stakeholders, and team members
- Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the materials and customer requirements including:
- Leading periodic business reviews
- Monitoring, and managing business performance to financial plans and goals
- Performing root cause analysis and resolution, and
- Developing and monitoring organizational material strategies
- Establish, implement, report, and socialize on Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals and objectives and related performance
- Travel as required and approximately 10%
- Must have experience with Excel and PowerPoint for purposes of data analysis and creation of presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Leading a team of people and collaborating internally and externally
- Managing planning organization within operations environment
- MRP systems and processes
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Deltek (Cost Point) ERP System Experience
- MBA or Graduate degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Operations, Material Logistics, and Supply Chain
- Lean transformation experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
