As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Communications & Spectrum Dominance, the European division based in Poland, develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.
Within the Finance team, you will co-own the full spectrum of financial controlling and accounting oversight for a dynamically growing defense manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role with full visibility of the business, direct impact, and room to grow into SAP-driven controlling excellence.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will be split across the following tasks:
Production Controlling & Cost Analysis (ca. 45%);
- Co-own financial control and reporting of production costs under Polish statutory standards (UoR + KSR) — COGS settlement and inventory and WIP valuation
- Co-build SAP S/4HANA controlling proficiency to progressively automate cost reporting and revenue recognition
- Support period-end close controlling, overhead and variance analysis, and ad-hoc budgeting in SAP
First 6–12 months: hands-on production cost reconciliation. Target state: a streamlined, automated controlling process.
Financial Control & Accounting Support (ca. 45%);
- Review bookings for UoR, VAT, and CIT compliance; support fixed asset valuation, payroll cost and employee expenses analysis
- Oversee quality and compliance of bookkeeping; provide guidance and financial reports as required
SAF-T / JPK Implementation Support (ca. 10%)
- Contribute to the JPK (SAF-T) reporting structures project — data mapping and compliance testing
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years in financial accounting and/or controlling in a corporate environment
- Practical statutory accounting experience under Polish GAAP (UoR) and knowledge of Polish tax regulations (CIT, VAT, Transfer Pricing)
- Experience cooperating with external auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities
- Manufacturing or project-based environment experience is an advantage
- Experience with shared service centres or international corporate HQ is an advantage
- Any knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO modules)
- Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, experience in data modelling is an advantage); confident MS Office user
- Experience with BI/reporting tools or other ERP/CPM systems is an advantage
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry is an advantage
- In progress or plan to start ACCA or CIMA certification path
- Fluent in English and Polish (written and verbal)
