Job Description: 

L3Harris is seeking a Manager, Operations to oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing facility.The Manager, Operations will monitor the production floor, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role will act as the primary point of contact for the site, coordinating with various departments and home site to ensure seamless operations and acting as the overall lead for the production team.

Essential Functions: 

  • L3Harris is seeking a site specific Manager, Operation to support Division specific requirements.

This positionwill:

  • Supervise and manage the production team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Oversee the manufacturing flow line, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
  • Act as the site point of contact, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement and enforce safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet production targets.
  • Identify and resolve any production issues or bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports, providing regular updates. 
  • Lead daily production meetings, communicating goals, expectations, and performance metrics to the team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications: 

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in managing a manufacturing flow line.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.

Preferred Additional Skills:

·Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices, including Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

·Ability to manage and lead projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.). 

·Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, to manage production processes and inventoryExperience with/ability to work in a team environment

·Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyGreat attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
