Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Manager/Architect to lead systems engineers across multiple teams in support of Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of a variety of IMINT systems, collection platforms and mission planning, ground stations, their capabilities and employment, testing, and integration. The Manager/Architect will lead multiple teams supporting systems engineering, training, and staffing requirements for various programs while also performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, as well as troubleshooting for full system and subsystems integrations. Conspire with the customer to translate desired systems capabilities into engineering system-level requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Author subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements.
- Understand physical architectures incorporating IMINT video, data, routing, and storage in multiple security domains.
- Understand and design in support of VDL and BLOS offboarding capabilities.
- Collaborate across functions, engineering groups, and program offices to verify requirements traceability and integrated systems performance expectations are defined, achievable, assigned, and met.
- Ensure the program remains within budget and critical milestones are met on schedule. Maintain and update weekly activity and status reports, expense reports, and manage staffing levels and assignments to meet anticipated demands.
- Support new proposal bids and provide technical leadership for a team of systems engineers supporting various programs with IMINT capabilities.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
- Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
- Create System Block Diagrams.
- Possess extensive experience in test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
- Write effective verification test procedures to ensure system performance and capabilities meet customer and system requirements.
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret, with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience with IMINT/SIGINT mission planning, execution, collection, and dissemination of products.
- Demonstrated experience with ground stations supporting IMINT/SIGINT operations, planning and execution.
- Certification as an IMINT operator trainer in DOD IMINT/SIGINT collection, and exploitation.
- Demonstrated experience operating, testing and training on a variety of IMINT/SIGINT exploitation workstations and software suites.
- Demonstrated experience in tactical and strategic IMINT/SIGINT collection, analysis, operations, and production of multi-disciplined intelligence, multi-sensor fusion and cross-cueing.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple IMINT formats including Electro-optical, Full Motion Video, SAR/ASARS, Infrared/Thermal, Multi-spectral, and Moving Target Indicator (MTI).
- Demonstrated experience in ground target identification, exploitation and product dissemination.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with systems engineering, configuration, testing, integrating, and/or verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain environment.
- Demonstrated exposure to mobile airborne datalink, video, voice and data communication systems environment.
- Demonstrated experience with airborne imaging systems, architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification of IMINT systems.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of LAN protocols to include IP Multicast routing.
- Working knowledge of EO/IR Systems, Video, CoT/KLV Metadata, network routing, storage and off-boarding.
- Knowledge of software sensor interfaces, and writing/managing software requirements.
- Experience with human factors analysis and requirements management for IMINT systems.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and multi-level testing and analysis of various electrical signal interfaces and systems.
- Knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose.
- Knowledge of the systems engineering trade study process.
- Experience conducting verification testing.
- Experience working with subcontractors and U.S. Government Customers.
- Experience developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans.
- Engineering efforts involving FAA-certified general category aircraft.
