Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Control Account Manager (CAM) with a strong background in setting up and managing program task management systems, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), scheduling, and budget management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating, setting up, and managing the systems, tools, and processes necessary for successful program execution.

This position will support large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. The candidate will communicate with internal leadership, external subcontractors and customer teams to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. The candidate will provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, implement, and manage comprehensive program task management systems to effectively monitor and control project activities.
  • Establish and maintain Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project performance, cost, and schedule.
  • Set up and maintain budget management processes, including cost estimating, tracking, and reporting to ensure financial accountability and control.
  • Develop and implement standardized systems, tools, and processes to enhance program management effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with program managers, project teams, and stakeholders to define project requirements, schedule, scope, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issue, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present detailed program status reports, including schedule and cost performance, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on the use of program management systems, tools, and processes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), including setup, implementation, and reporting.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and budget management processes.
  • Experience with effort tracking using Jira. Collaboration using Confluence.
  • The ability to translate work package scope into discrete tasking with clear deliverables and milestones.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with nine (9) years of experience with a focus on setting up and managing program task management systems, EVMS, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of experience with a focus on setting up and managing program task management systems, EVMS, scheduling, and budget management.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of experience with a focus on setting up and managing program task management systems, EVMS, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
