About the role
As we enter a period of significant growth, we are seeking experienced compliance personelle to join L3Harris as our Trade Compliance Officer. Working within a business-critical team, you will ensure L3Harris’s adherence to legislative requirements and policies concerning the import, export, transfer and movement of sensitive technology and data.
Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, your remit will be as broad as it is challenging. Day-to-day, your activities may include but not be limited to: developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance, conducting risk assessments, and serving as point of contact for Global Trade Compliance. You will also monitor the Australian regulations via the DFAT for changes to embargoed and sanctioned countries and parties, understanding impact to business.
About you
To be successful in this role and to fully leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, you will preferably be degree qualified and possess legal or compliance experience, ideally gained in highly regulated environments. A strong competency in on time and accurate reporting and development of training materials. Working knowledge of US Export Controles and Australian Export Controls and Customes regulations is preferable.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and highly developed written and verbal communication skills. The ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively, prioritise company needs, and influence others to achieve strategic outcomes is critical to success in this position.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, resilient, and self-starting individual, well-suited to the high-performance profile of this team. Your capacity to navigate intricate regulatory frameworks and translate them into practical, actionable guidance will set you apart.
