About the role
We are seeking a Junior IT Support Officer to join our established and supportive IT team. Your core responsibilities will be to be part of the team acting as the first point of contact to the IT Team, seeking resolution to Tier 1 & 2 issues and escalating to Tier 3 when necessary, covering multiple location in Australia and abroad.
In this role, you'll work with a tech-savvy group and a challenging environment, providing lots of chances to learn. Your ability to improve your skills is limitless – you're in control of how much you want to grow within this role.
Responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to; providing first-level technical support via phone, email, and chat for the timely resolution of customer issues. Managing service levels, monitoring response times, and escalating issues to meet objectives. Monitor alerts and respond appropriately, provide proactive updates to customers, identify trends, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Handle hardware configuration and troubleshooting, image and deploy workstations and peripherals, conduct new employee inductions, and manage hardware and software procurement.
About you
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have completed a Diploma of IT (Networking) or a Diploma of similar curriculum and be able to demonstrate the below abilities.
- Have a strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Strong technical Knowledge of RSAT, MS Azure, O365 and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM Best Practices.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) will be an advantage.
- A desire to kick start your career in IT and be part of a enthusiastic IT Team composed of individuals across multiple locations in Australia.
