About your next Challenge as a Life Cycle Material Manager (LCMM) Support:

The LCMM’s role is to provide the support necessary for maintaining CP140 avionics systems in order to meet the demands of the operational fleet. This is done by liaising with various parts of a greater team – DND; Engineering; Supply Chain Management; Repair and Overhaul; Contracts; Integrated Logistics Support; Configuration and Data Management. Ensuring the fleet and its maintainers are supplied with sufficient serviceable spare parts and components, reliable component repair and overhaul, up to date technical data and the tools needed, the LCMM aims to minimize aircraft downtime and increase aircraft availability.

System health monitoring and risk management are essential practices, and DND processes such as Corrective Maintenance Program Change (CMPC), Alternate Part Approval Form (APAF), Aircraft Inspection Change Proposal (AICP) and Aircraft Modification Approval Form (AMAF) are utilized for providing technical solutions and improvements to the aircraft platform.

What will you do:

  • Provide CP140 avionics system support for the lifecycle of the aircraft and its components.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate progress of aircraft sustainment and betterment functions.
  • Provide technical support to DND maintenance and operating units.
  • Perform specialized avionics upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide technical support to technicians, supply personnel and engineers.
  • Carry out other duties as required.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Technologist diploma or equivalent training and experience, preferably in a military environment.
  • Previous experience in the maintenance and support of DND avionics.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Air Force support infrastructure and processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of CP140 avionics.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of ADAM/DRMIS an asset.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and aircraft modification process.
  • Sufficient English language skills to be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • French is considered an asset
  • Ability to write routine and complex reports and complete required performance metrics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and convey ideas/information one-on-one and group settings.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
