Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for self-starting, team-oriented Full-Stack Application Software Engineers with focus on development, to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on Command and Control (C2) application systems for Space Domain purposes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development focused on mission-unique software upgrades and integration according to customer and mission requirements.

Essential Functions: 

• The Senior Software engineer will bring industry’s best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.
• The Senior Software Engineer will help the team with designing solutions for mission application and framework development.
• The Senior Software Engineer brings solid experience with modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
• The Senior Software Engineer will help upgrading and developing new capabilities, diagnose and resolve issues with mission unique software.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java software development and ability to led and mentor junior engineers.
• The ideal candidate will support and/or lead proposals to future program ECPs when required.
• Position requires Top Secret Clearance usually granted to US Citizens.

Qualifications: 

• Top Secret or TS/SCI  Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and minimum 6-9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4-7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 11-13 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with Java software development.
• Experience with Springboot framework.
• Experience with RESTful web services.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
• Experience with Front-End web development, React, Angular, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML
• Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban).

Preferred Additional Skills:

• SCI clearances
• Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience with Microservices.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.
• Experience with Front-End web development, React, Angular, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.
• Experience with Space Domain Systems.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado and New York State is $95,000 - $213,000 and Virginia area is $109,500 - $245,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
