Job Description:
Experienced Systems Administrator responsible for maintaining a mixed Windows and Linux system environment in a Citrix/Virtualized environment. Candidate should understand of virtualization, networking concepts, be capable of performing system patching and hardening, understand database management, and be proficient with deployment automation tools, as well as having experience providing end user support to the desktop level. Candidate must be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to varying levels of management and program engineering teams. Candidate is also responsible for leading IT projects at the local level.
Essential Functions:
Windows desktop\server imaging, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Install\Configure\Maintain Windows\Linux Server and Desktops hardware\software.
- Provision\configuration of new physical\virtual servers\desktops and provide complex high level system support.
Proficient in Linux Administration (Red Hat).
Handling of Service Now incidents\ requests.
IT Management Tool Administration.
Racking servers and other hardware.
Coordinate power upgrades to support new hardware.
Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans pertaining to standard operating procedures and network system(s) operations.
Perform desktop provisioning and other IT duties as required.
Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 35 pounds across campus for various needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Current/Active Secret Security Clearance
- 5+ years’ experience working with DISA STIGs, ICD-503, NIST 800-53 and 800-53A, and the Risk Management Framework.
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Windows System Administrator (Client and Server).
- Microsoft Security, GPO, and Active Directory administration (Intermediate to expert).
- Antivirus Administration (Intermediate to expert).
- Client Management Tools (Intermediate to expert).
- Lead infrastructure related projects for system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Skills with scripting languages: PowerShell, batch, VBScript.
- Ability to work independently.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
