Job Description:
The role of IT Sector Lead/Business Relationship Manager (BRM) within the CSD Segment is dynamic and influential. Acting as the strategic interface between the IT organization and the CSD business, the Sector BRM is responsible for fostering deep connections with senior Sector leadership team including Sector Presidents and functional VP’s as well as with leadership within the IT Function to define the Sector strategy, including roadmaps to enable the businesses future goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- A visionary and results driven director who leads strategic planning, supports implementation, and drives optimization of our digital systems. This role drives collaboration, consistency and excellence from IT and maintains close business engagement.
- Supporting the execution of Sector digital transformation (DT) initiatives, ensuring alignment with Sector business needs, enterprise DT frameworks, and IT policies and technical best practices.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with Sector and IT Service and sub-service owners to understand strategic plans and identify areas impacting the business and IT.
- Providing highly valued strategic consulting support and guidance through key IT initiatives.
- Communicating decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to cross-functional staff at various levels concerning business unit requests, projects, and initiatives.
- Proactively sharing knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantages and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business units.
- Coaching business functional areas leaders and enable them to articulate the technological needs and requirements in their function that will advance business performance.
- Ensuring that CSD’s strategy and key performance indicators are identified and leveraged for effective IT demand shaping.
- Partnering with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities
- Confirming delivery of new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the roadmap and ensuring that they meet the established objectives and expectations of business partners
- Sharing ownership of the business value results of technology related projects; measuring and communicating business value results on a regular basis
- Ensuring continuous improvement in value optimization, IT performance, and business processes where applicable
- Versatility and leadership are essential in this role, as you will frequently address new and challenging problems, requiring a proactive and adaptable approach to develop effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Current/active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to serve as a digital thought leader, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement; Strategic thinker with the ability to influence directly and indirectly
- Project Management certifications or relevant experience (PMP, Six Sigma or similar certifications)
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, ALM)
- Demonstrated executive presence to effectively collaborate with leaders at every level
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry preferred
- Cross-functional IT knowledge and experience (infrastructure, applications, security, etc.)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $167,000-$310,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $145,500-$270,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
