Job Description:

Responsible for the receipt, movement, and storage of raw materials and finished goods to ensure optimal organization and accuracy to support manufacturing operations. Manages the processing of material from Ready for Stores (RFS) status and return material to ensure they are physically and electronically moved in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) database to a valid warehouse location. Pulls material for Manufacturing Orders, Additional Material Requests (AMRs), and Scrap Replacement Requests. Manages the issue of material in accordance with First-In/First-Out (FIFO) methodology. Responds to Kanban Card system for additional material needed for production. Additionally, the incumbent may be required to flex across additional logistics activities as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate basic Microsoft and computer knowledge.
  • Perform transactions in our Warehouse Management System to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
  • Physically pick and move material throughout the Warehouse.
  • Respond to Kanban card system request for additional material.
  • Perform Cycle Counts of Stock on Hand by physical count or with a scale.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) around Warehouse.
  • Maintain the 6S and cleanliness of the Storeroom.
  • Comply with procedures and policies.
  • Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
  • Perform tasks using a ladder or lift machine. Must be Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting materials from rack locations.
  • No travel required, occasional overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Incumbent must be able to successfully complete PIV training and qualify on the equipment (WAVE) within 45 days of on-the-job training.
  • Must be able to qualify as an ATF Responsible Person.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Requires strong accurate counting ability, attention to detail, flexibility to changing priorities, strong customer focus, and mid-level problem solving ability skills.
  • Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems, specifically Costpoint is preferred
  • Prior warehousing or inventory experience and PIV training are preferred but not required.
