Job Description:
The position will support all programs within the MRP system, focusing on capacity and scheduling to ensure efficient production processes. Key responsibilities include performing regular inventory reconciliations to ensure physical stock levels match financial records, developing and maintaining reporting tools and dashboards for real-time inventory visibility, and using data analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights. The position will also anticipate potential material disruptions, develop contingency plans, and implement just-in-time inventory practices to reduce lead times and improve production efficiency. Additionally, the role will support EY auditing requests, assist in preparing audit documentation, and work closely with finance and accounting teams to resolve SAP and balance sheet discrepancies while ensuring compliance with MAMS and DFARS regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze and forecast production capacity, taking into account labor, equipment, and material availability.
- Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand, available capacity, and priorities.
- Distribute workloads evenly across various work centers to avoid overloading certain areas and ensure optimal productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., inventory control, production, logistics) to align scheduling with material availability and shipping timelines.
- Continuously monitor progress against schedules and adjust them as needed to accommodate changes in priorities, equipment failures, or labor shortages.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and work center utilization.
- Implements strategic goals established by leadership. Establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results (e.g., less than 1 year).
- Provides input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results.
- Identify inefficiencies in the current scheduling process and work on implementing improvements, such as Lean or Six Sigma practices.
- Resolve conflicts between production needs and capacity limitations by negotiating priorities and finding creative solutions to optimize output.
- Ensure the effective use of scheduling software and ERP systems to automate and streamline scheduling tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of ERP/MRP and Manufacturing Execution systems, along with Team Center PLM.
- PowerBI experience
- Proficient in excel
- PMP or APICS certifications desirable
- Able to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California areas is $114,000-$212,000. The salary range for this role in Utah is $99,500-$184,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
