Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Production Planning (Load Analyst) to join our Scheduling & Material Planning Center of Excellence at our Canoga Park, California facility.

Essential Functions:

In this role, you will organize and coordinate the work of individuals and project teams, managing all aspects of assigned projects in one or more operations that support production activities. These activities include planning, scheduling, material and tool planning and control, production control, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation. You will also perform short- and long-range planning for assigned functional areas and implement approved plans.

  • Creation and Communication of Shop Dispatch Lists: Responsible for creating and communicating shop dispatch lists to ensure the priority of hardware for work centers in accordance with schedule demands. Partner with the Area Manager to manage workload order and hardware execution.
  • Task Coordination and Readiness: Specify handoff tasks between buildings, departments, labs, etc., and coordinate the timely ordering and readiness of production support items such as tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and NC programming to ensure on-time starts and continuous hardware flow.
  • Constraint Management Support: Provide support to the Liaison Team for proactive constraint management for shop orders on hold. Ensure tight coordination of tactical-level tasks and issue resolution that may cross multiple work centers or area departments.
  • Shop Floor Support: Create and maintain Shop Order Books needed for the shop floor. Develop and update the dispatch list for kitting to be performed daily.
  • Load Analysis and Scheduling: Analyze near and long-term load reviews for valleys or peaks in the schedules using the Capacity Qlik and Power BI Applications, along with throughput metrics, to ensure a balanced schedule. Aim to minimize or reduce bow waves or bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-site teams.
  • Interest in the status and tracking of hardware processes.
  • Familiarity and experience with inventory management principles.
  • Experience using Qlik and Power BI Applications, Oracle, and Delmia systems, preferred.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $77,500 - $144,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
