Job Title: First Line Technical Support CC150/CC330 Programs (18 month contract)

Compensation Range: Between $63,000 - $113,000 CDN annually

We are looking for a First Line Technical Support professional to join our team in the CC150/CC130 Program, in Trenton, ON.  This position is primarily a Customer Technical Support role and plays a critical role in supporting the Royal Canadian Air Force by ensuring that aircraft maintenance teams have the technical tools, systems, and support they need to succeed while they are working on the base or deployed around the world.  

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your reliability, adaptability, and customer-focused mindset directly contribute to mission success; supporting all roles including Management, Maintenance, Planning, Materials, Procurement, Scheduling, Tech Records, Payroll, Storekeeping, Tool Crib, Engineering, and various external contractors.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain user accounts and training within a Microsoft/Azure/Active Directory environment (Windows, O365, SharePoint, Teams, SAP, Global Protect VPN, WYSE Thin Clients, Horizon VDI, iOS Devices, Blackberry Work, Microsoft Intune);
  • Support users in creating Jira and routing Service Now Tickets;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Jira and Service Now tickets with professionalism and urgency;
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of staff members;
  • Install, configure, and roll out new hardware and software as required;
  • Guide users in accessing the technology and resources they need;
  • Coordinate with external repair technicians and manage site visits;
  • Assist aircraft maintenance engineers in supporting aircraft IT systems;
  • Coordinate with Shared Services Canada for enabling and disabling network drops throughout the base;
  • Support temporary office setups to support maintenance operations;
  • Interface directly with head office and corporate IT;
  • Maintain a high degree of vigilance in protecting Canadian ITAR data;
  • Always promote security best practices;
  • Other duties as assigned outside of typical IT professional scope;
  • Willingness to commit to an 18-month contract.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience;
  • In Lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience;
  • Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management;
  • Experience in aerospace would be considered an asset;
  • Experience of knowledge of Ramco Aviation an asset;
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment;
  • Flexible and adaptable; willing to support after-hour or weekend needs when required; and
  • Helpful, Reliable, Trustworthy, Energetic, and Positive.

Operational requirements:

  • Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program; and
  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
