Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Materials and Process Engineer (Chemistry Lab) to join our expanding facility in Camden, Arkansas. This senior professional role involves managing complex processes with general oversight and performing a variety of duties within the mechanical and chemistry areas of our Materials and Process Engineering laboratory.

Essential Functions:

  • Handle, process, and mix chemicals in a laboratory setting.
  • Work with lab instrumentation such as FTIR, Instrons, DSC, Microtrac, titrators, & HPLC
  • Sample and test raw materials, propellants, liners, and explosive mixes. 
  • Prepare and collect raw test data.
  • Perform complex mathematical calculations.
  • Clean, assemble and dismantle test hardware, test equipment, and test apparatus.
  • Perform laboratory support activities such as instrument calibration, cleaning, inventory, inspections, and material handling.
  • Generate laboratory test reports, retain test data, and disseminate test reports.
  • Generate, review, modify, and submit lab documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant chemistry lab experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related chemistry lab experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related chemistry lab experience.
