Essential Functions:
- In this role, you will inspire and manage a talented team of 4-6 direct reports, guiding them through casting operations and final assembly processes for both established and exciting new product lines. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing and implementing robust strategies aimed at optimizing cost, enhancing quality, ensuring on-time delivery, and exceeding customer satisfaction. Through continuous improvement and innovative thinking, you will:
- Develop a world-class operations team fostering growth through strategic staffing, rigorous training programs, and dynamic talent management.
- Drive employee engagement with a strong focus on operational excellence through initiatives such as Factory Gemba walks, quality improvement strategies, and comprehensive safety protocols.
- Champion best practices by maintaining a well-organized workspace with 5S+1 methodologies and deploying Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to streamline processes.
- Responsibility for succession planning and organizational development to cultivate a resilient and forward-thinking team.
- Effectively manage performance and deliver key results across a dynamic matrix organization, showcasing your exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering, or a similar field with 12+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment. Alternatively, a Graduate degree coupled with 10+ years as a leader in Operations, with extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing methods, production planning, and quality systems. Or a remarkable 16 years in Operations leadership in lieu of a formal degree.
