Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our process harmonization strategy for engineering processes, focusing on standardization, integration, and efficient workflow across different engineering disciplines and businesses. This role will assist with the execution of the engineering process review board, collaborating with representatives from key engineering disciplines and sectors within IMS. The candidate will identify areas for improvement in the engineering process landscape, propose solutions to optimize workflows, enhance collaboration, and reduce operational costs, while implementing best practices and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves aiding in the evaluation of engineering discipline and productivity metrics and facilitating communications to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess a strong ability to prioritize workload, and drive personal and team task completion. Comfort in working within a high-volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, and results-oriented work environment is essential.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering Operations and Performance.
Essential Functions:
- Process Harmonization Strategy: Support the process harmonization strategy for engineering processes, focusing on standardization, integration, and efficient workflow across different engineering disciplines and businesses.
- Process Review Board: Assist with the execution of the engineering process review board, collaborating with representatives from key engineering disciplines and engineering sectors within IMS.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the engineering process landscape and propose solutions to optimize workflows, enhance collaboration, and reduce operational costs. Implement best practices and drive initiatives for continuous process improvement.
- Engineering Metrics: Aid in the evaluation of engineering discipline metrics and productivity metrics and facilitate communications to key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong ability to prioritize workload and drive personal and team task completion.
- Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
·Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

- Technical Management Proficiency: Understands engineering principles, processes, and tools used in various engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software).

- Able to work in a multi-level complex project schema—navigating a vague and broad space, to define plans and options, ensure alignment of all stakeholders across sites, division, sector, segment, and corporate teams.
- Experience leading functional engineering scope, with demonstrated success in managing remote work across geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; possesses strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong business acumen needed to interact with senior leaders and executives.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$25.00 - $47.50]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is [$22.00 - $40.50]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
