L3Harris in Bristol is our headquarters for our Maritime UK businesses which provides warship automation systems through control and simulation solutions that are in service on Albion Class Landing Platform Docks and Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers. More systems are being developed and delivered for Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. We have additional Maritime UK sites across Burgess Hill, Barrow-In-Furness and Portchester. Together, we are powering the Royal Navy’s adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports, harbours and offshore energy service providers.

What the role will involve
The Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) for the Maritime UK business will apply their expertise in supply chain, program, or product management to lead cross-functional teams in developing resilient supply chain strategies and executing key programs across MID products. In partnership with functional leaders, the SCPM will implement tailored, scalable practices to ensure successful execution from early engineering design through the full product and project lifecycle. A strong focus will be placed on risk and opportunity management to ensure high-quality delivery.
The SCPM will be accountable for program cost, schedule, and compliance with internal policies and globally applicable regulations related to materials and subcontracts.
In this high-impact role, the SCPM will collaborate across departments and serve as a key interface between Supply Chain and Program/Product Offices, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations. This individual will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert in supply chain and programmatic practices.
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier and customer on-time delivery
- Ensure timely completion of all material and subcontract milestones
- Manage material and subcontract budgets; drive actions to improve financial performance
- Act as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and other functions for key products/programs
- Analyze key performance indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Develop supply chain estimates using risk and opportunity frameworks for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case scenarios
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Controlled Goods Program, PSPC procurement guidelines)
- Support Program Finance in quarterly financial reporting against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), short-term forecasts, and Estimates to Complete (ETC)
- Align ITB/Offset activities with the Industrial Participation group
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated and documented throughout the supply base
- Manage supplier performance and relationships
- Lead supplier recovery strategies and communicate critical issues with solution-focused actions
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom (UK citizenship or permanent residency)
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Experience in supply chain and program management across the product lifecycle (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing internal leadership and cross-functional teams
- Experience with new business proposals and competitive/sole-source pursuits
- Proven leadership and management capabilities
- Subcontractor management from development through production
- Ability to break down complex issues into actionable strategies
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and control account management
- Familiarity with UK procurement and export control regulations (e.g., Controlled Goods Program, PSPC, ITAR equivalency)
