From 11 UK sites, our team of nearly 1,000 people delivers unique capabilities across space, air, land, sea and cyber for military, security and commercial customers across the UK and worldwide.

L3Harris in Bristol is our headquarters for our Maritime UK businesses which provides warship automation systems through control and simulation solutions that are in service on Albion Class Landing Platform Docks and Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers. More systems are being developed and delivered for Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. We have additional Maritime UK sites across Burgess Hill, Barrow-In-Furness and Portchester. Together, we are powering the Royal Navy’s adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports, harbours and offshore energy service providers.

What the role will involve

Acting as the principal point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for project and supplier quality

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

·Supporting Project Managers through proactive understanding of project schedule, process gates and deliverables to with minimizing rework and on-time delivery of quality output

·Contributing to the continuous development and maintenance of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS ) including management of project specific deviations, tailoring and waivers

·Supporting Supply Chain with supplier surveillance and audit to ensure their continued compliance, performance and qualification

·Accepting supplier deliverables in accordance with contractual specifications and assigned standards

·Monitoring, reviewing and accepting supplier corrective and preventative actions in response to Supply Chain

·Promoting supplier continuous improvement through collaborative zero-defect planning

·Monitoring the quality of project documentation and deliverables

·Supporting the organisational internal and external audit programme, specifically, planning and preparation in their area of responsibility

·Supporting product development using Design for Quality principles

·Supporting bid preparation by estimating Quality effort and schedule to deliver scope

·Carrying out formal root cause and corrective action analysis in response to quality findings

·Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

·Significant working knowledge and understanding of Quality regulations and standards

·A proven track record of utilizing appropriate tools and techniques in delivering measurable effective and efficient Quality Management including statutory and corporate compliance reporting

·Experienced in the production, review and performance analysis of Quality Management processes

·Experience of managing external suppliers and sub-contractor performance

·Experience of eliciting and analyzing Customer Feedback and Lessons Learned in support of continuous improvement

·Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage vertically and horizontally, liaise with customers and external bodies
