Lead, Human Resources Business Partner

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Human Resources to lead and manage HR operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role requires a seasoned HR generalist with a proven track record in matrixed organizations, preferably within the Defence and Technology industries. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Australian legislation and will serve as a key advisor to the Managing Director and the Australian Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliance with local and international legislation and regulations.
- Partner with COE’s to deliver specialized HR services, including talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.
- Oversee core HR functions, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Provide strategic HR support to the Managing Director and SLT, including talent management and organizational development.
- Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment and integration of HR practices within a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
- Lead change management efforts and support organizational transformation initiatives.
- Monitor HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the Defence and/or Technology sectors is highly desirable.
