**24 month Fixed Term contract**


We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator with a strong focus on data center operations to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and maintain the integrity, security, and efficiency of our data center infrastructure, including servers, network systems (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Switches), and related hardware and software components. While the primary focus is on data center operations, occasional end-user support will be required.

Responsibilities:

·Manage and maintain all aspects of the data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and related hardware and software.

·Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.

·Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

·Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute data center expansion, upgrades, and migrations.

·Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to data center operations and IT infrastructure.

·Provide occasional end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with system configuration and setup as needed.

·Respond to after-hours emergencies and incidents as required.

·Maintenance backups and disaster recovery strategy to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

·Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

·Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

·Undergraduate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

·Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on data center operations in a large-scale enterprise environment.

·Strong knowledge of server hardware, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), and operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux. Mac).

·Expertise in network infrastructure design, configuration, and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.

·Experience with data center technologies such as SAN/NAS storage, blade servers, data replication, Cohesity and Veeam.

·Familiarity with security protocols and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.

·Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
