Job Description:
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of software on the target hardware CCA. You will be responsible for designing the software per requirements documents and system level design documents. There will be a focus to interface with the test engineers to influence test automation.
The Agile Development Group (ADG) division specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for software product development through analysis, design, development, testing and integration.
- Analyze and assist in the development and testing of requirements flowed down by Systems Engineering.
- Implement embedded software from design and collaborative interactions with domain Subject Matter Experts.
- Design, document, develop and test software for systems in accordance with applicable Software Development Processes, coding standards, and guidelines.
- Collaborate daily with team members in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Participate in software design/code reviews.
- Participate in Integration efforts/Bug fixes/optimization of existing software systems.
- Encourage software reuse initiatives.
- Participate in estimating efforts for programs.
- Provide input to project schedule and technical goals as assigned.
- Support risk assessment and development of mitigation strategies
- Up to 25% travel may be required
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds..
- Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
- Other duties as required..
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6-8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or test software development.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Computer/Software Engineering field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing or Test Software development.
- Experience in C#/C/C++, LabVIEW, shell scripting (Powershell/Bash/etc.).
- Experience using standard bench test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies).
- Experience with basic networking and tools (FTP/TFTP/SFTP, UDP/TCP IP networks).
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded software.
- Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, SVN, CVS, ClearCase, etc.).
- Experience with software bug/issue tracking.
- Experience designing and integrating technical software solutions.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes and procedures.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia areas is $84,500 - $156,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
