Job Description:
The Army Sales Account Manager will be a key stakeholder in the development and execution of L3Harris Communication Systems' annual operating and strategic growth plan. The individual will be responsible for capturing current business and the identification of new business opportunities within the Army through new market identification, new partnerships and by means to better meet the needs of existing customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with satellite communication (SATCOM) technologies working with Army executive agencies including PEO-C3N, PEO-IEW&S, Army National Guard, Reserve and Active Army units within assigned account. This position reports into the Director of Army Tactical Communications Business within the Communication Systems business segment.
Essential Functions:
- Strong understanding of SATCOM market and emerging beyond line of site (BLOS) communication technologies.
- Know tactical waveforms and communications requirements for the U.S. Army customer.
- In depth knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes.
- Meet and exceed annual operating plan.
- Identify and capture new business within the assigned U.S. Army account.
- Support the segment’s strategic growth planning (SGP) and annual operating plan (AOP) processes.
- Develop and brief annual account plan to the business; secure resources to achieve plan.
- Develop and present executive level briefings and presentations on business cases that support growth in existing and new markets.
- Work closely with other account managers, business development managers, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.
- Accurate and timely tracking of business opportunities and customer contacts via customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution.
- DoD SATCOM industry experience
- Ability to travel – 25% or more.
- Experience working with DoD prime system contractors/integrators.
- Experience developing new business opportunities with the Department of Defense
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $113,500 - $210,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
