EXPANDING IN FORT WAYNE
The technology L3Harris creates in Indiana is also extensible to other critical missions – specifically missile warning and defense. The Space Development Agency (SDA) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) have partnered with us to develop infrared missile-tracking satellites to detect, track, target and engage hypersonic missiles, providing a critical capability to deter and defeat emerging threats from peer adversaries. We recently invested more than $125 million to renovate and expand our Fort Wayne facility to design, develop and produce infrared sensor payloads focused on national defense and civil weather interests.
