Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking to hire a Sr Associate, Logistics Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Strategic Missions Division (SMD) Packing, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T). Candidate will engage with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to ensure PHS&T and customer requirements are being upheld.
Essential Functions:
- Support an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost.
- Interface daily with PHS&T Lead and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure all SMD PHS&T needs are being met.
- Continuously look for and implement mechanisms to reduce and streamline the logistics footprint within SMD.
- Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property as directed.
- Identify, plan, and report the availability and usability of packing materials to PHS&T Lead and/or IPTL.
- Process, track, and close-out the shipment of products to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs.
- Monitor and track the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the field.
- Support depot specific operations as directed.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of basic PHS&T Principles as they apply to Hardware Delivery.
- Active TS/SCI Required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of the following tools: Agile PLM, MRP, SHIP, SharePoint and Sunflower.
- Experience in fast paced continuous change integration environment.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with business development, program management personnel and external customers.
- Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Visio, and Word.
