Job Description:
Join our Logistics team and play a critical role in sustaining mission‑ready systems by managing spares, inventory, and provisioning throughout the full system life cycle. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Program teams to ensure the right parts, documentation, and support processes are in place to keep fielded systems operating without interruption. You’ll help drive readiness by coordinating procurement, repairs, and inventory levels across multiple sites using tools like SAIL, while supporting mission-critical decisions and system support planning. This is a high‑impact position where your work directly enables successful missions and long‑term system reliability.
This position will be initially assigned to Edwards Air Force Base, California but will require bi-weekly travel to Yorba Linda California for the first 9 months. Initial travel for this role will be 50% for training, qualification and certification purposes as needed to support business, supplier, program, or site requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Optimize stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records to support operational, program, and customer requirements.
- Manage provisioning and inventory control activities to effectively balance supply with demand across warehouse and distribution operations.
- Forecast material requirements and coordinate replenishment activities to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and potential disruptions.
- Track, monitor, and reconcile inventory transactions within ERP systems to ensure data accuracy, traceability, and visibility.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support material availability, on-time delivery, and overall performance objectives.
- Analyze inventory trends, demand patterns, and key performance metrics to identify risks, improve planning, and support decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy, streamline processes, and reduce overall operating costs.
- Travel up to 25% as needed to support business, supplier, program, or site requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Active a U.S. security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for the first 9 months then up to 25% as needed to support business, supplier, program, or site requirements.
- 4 years’ experience developing inventory forecasts and replenishment plans to support operational readiness and customer requirements.
- 4 years’ experience with warehouse processes, cycle counting, root cause analysis, and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
- 4 years’ experience managing supplier performance, material flow, and on-time delivery in support of program objectives.
- 4 years’ experience managing supplier performance, material flow, and on-time delivery in support of program objectives.
- 4 years’ experience with Government Property Management responsibilities, including accountability, stewardship, record accuracy, movement, inventory, audits, and compliance with customer and contractual property requirements.
- 4 years’ experience supporting or coordinating property audits, physical inventories, loss/damage/destruction reporting, and corrective actions to ensure compliance and asset traceability.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work with engineering documentation such as drawings, parts lists, ECOs, and technical data packages
- Proficiency with logistics or inventory systems (e.g., SAIL or similar ERP/MRP platforms) and familiarity with procurement workflows, purchase requests, and repair tracking processes
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate spares, assess maintenance concepts, and support decision-making throughout the system life cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, planning, operations, quality, and program teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present inventory status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS government property requirements, property accountability practices, and internal controls related to the receipt, tracking, use, storage, and disposition of government-owned property.

- The Logistics Specialist / Provisioning role is intended for a professional with substantial prior relevant experience in logistics, provisioning, supply chain, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- This position works independently on moderately complex to complex assignments and applies practical knowledge, data analysis, and sound judgment to optimize stock levels, improve inventory accuracy, and support business and program objectives.
- Experience with NAVSUP P-485 Naval Supply Procedures, DD1348 documentation, Repair and Return processes, and DIFM (Due In for Maintenance) tracking and inventory management.
- The role may contribute to process improvements, support cross-functional coordination, and help resolve inventory, supplier, and material flow challenges.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage day-to-day inventory activities while supporting long-term planning, operational efficiency, and cost control initiatives.
- Prior Costpoint Experience or SAIL experience.
- FEDLOG/PUBLOG and NATO Codification.
- International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) experience.
- Prior Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
- Practical knowledge of project management and provisioning per SSP instructions.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $69,500.00 MIN - $129,500.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
