Job Description:
As part of the Hardware CAD organization, you will work with programs at all phases of the product lifecycle to develop and document designs from conceptual representation through final documentation. As a designer you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the product data through PLM and CAD tools within the appropriate processes and controls, and will be responsible for enacting changes with direction from program and other engineering funcitons. This role is expected to be a subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of of process and must be able to manages large, complex project models of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communication will be within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. You will make significant improvements in processes, systems, or products and provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain solid models aligned with L3Harris processes
- Devleop documentation (drawings, etc.) as part of a products data
- Implement changes to a products data based on guidance from the program team
- Assist program teams in major milestones (reviews)
- Assist programs in task development as appropriate
- Assist the development of proposals
- Manage large and complex CAD models and their corresponding data
- Become Subject Matter Expert on process and product lines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 5+ years experience using AutoCAD Inventor
- 5+ years experience using Oracle Agile PLM
- Experience with proposal development
