About the Role
The Business Optimization leader is responsible for improving cross-functional efficiency, driving cross-functional projects and enabling scalable growth across the organization. This role partners with senior leadership and all functions within the business to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and implement data-driven improvements that enhance performance and profitability. The ideal candidate blends strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, and change-management expertise within a technology environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead company-wide initiatives to improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Assess end-to-end business processes and develop strategies to eliminate waste, reduce complexity, and accelerate cycle times.
- Partner with senior leadership to define KPIs, operational goals, and performance dashboards.
- Identify new opportunities for automation, including the deployment of artificial intelligence, workflow orchestration, and system integration.
- Build models, frameworks, and business cases supporting optimization initiatives.
- Implement metrics and measurement systems that provide visibility into business performance.
- Drive alignment across all functions within the business.
- Manage cross-functional project teams to implement process improvements and new capabilities.
- Lead organizational change by improving adoption of new tools, systems, and processes.
- Communicate improvements clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure initiatives deliver measurable business impact.
Required Capabilities
- Experience in business optimization, management consulting, strategy, or similar roles within a technology organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; expertise in building models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives from analysis through execution.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to directly engage in the work scope.
Desired Education and Experiences
- Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area.
- May have in-depth knowledge of project management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field.
- Minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- MBA Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $113,000 to $163,000
