Job Description:
- Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
- Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and condition of materials to stated identifications.
- Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
- Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on receiving line.
- Lifts heavy items and operates material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, scissorlifts, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- May perform crate shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
- Quality conscious with accurate counting ability for inventory compliance.
- Willing to be flexible to changing priorities.
- Strong customer focus.
Essential Functions:
- Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
- On-call availability
- Able to meet short notice travel requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work any shift and overtime when needed
- Position requires the ability to maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Requires 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have warehouse experience.
- Must be willing to accept on call availability.
- Must be willing to accept Shift flexibility.
- Must be able to travel with little notice.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Experience with BSI
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
