Job Description:
L3Harris has an availability for a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Field Technician to join our Public Safety & Professional Communications sector. The Field Technician will be responsible for supporting our customers within the South Virginia area.
Technician will perform a variety of maintenance and technical support tasks on products such as equipment, integrated systems and sub systems, and software at customer locations. Troubleshoots and performs diagnostics tests of equipment. Performs software and firmware updates on equipment. Interfaces with customer and customer users.
Essential Functions:
- Travel within the service area with a company provided vehicle
- Available to be on-call, after hours, weekends, holidays
- Work independent of supervision after release from training
- Interface with team to assist in troubleshooting and planning efforts
- Interface with customer to communicate repair and maintenance plans
- Translate technical information to non-technical population
- 20% travel within the state of Virginia
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with diagnostic equipment (service monitors, watt meters)
- Experience with software diagnostics tools (wire shark, telenet)
- Experience with Router/Switching/IP training
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $53,000-$98,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $61,000-$113,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
