Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a dynamic leader to assume the Quality Director role within its Communication Systems segment. This leader should bring a proven track record of developing departmental strategy and vision to ensure adherence with customer expectations, defining and promoting a zero-defect culture, and building high-performing quality organizations. In addition, this leader should be enthusiastic, decisive, and results-oriented with a collaborative approach to meet challenges.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate a vision and align the organization around strategic quality improvement. Foster a diverse, high-performing, and actively engaged quality organization.
 - Facilitate and implement strategic quality management objectives, such as the implementation of APQP/PPAP, SPC, RCCA processes, etc., to achieve step-level quality metric performance improvement at all sites.
 - Work with cross-functional leadership to identify best practices and implement them across product quality, supplier quality, and business process quality to drive customer satisfaction and meet internal quality objectives.
 - Develop and implement a Quality Management System robust enough to meet business objectives and ensure product conformance to customer requirements.
 - Ensure compliance with company policies and business processes; and regulatory standards.
 - Provide direct and indirect leadership to build a high-performing and actively engaged quality organization.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 15 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 13 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
 - Minimum 10 years experience of quality leadership.
 
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, and AS9145.
 - Experience with lean 6-sigma concepts and processes (green/black belt preferred).
 - Experience managing APQP/PPAP based programs.
 - Experience driving formal root cause corrective action programs.
 - Experience building a quality-focused culture and driving process, program, and product quality.
 - Experience working with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
 - New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
 - Proficient computer skills.
 
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $143,000 - $265,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
