About the role 

L3Harris Trenchant is an elite global team of engineers and security researchers charged with building world-class computer security products. Trenchant’s expertise is the by-product of the L3Harris acquisition of two highly-regarded information security businesses – Azimuth Security and Linchpin Labs. United under Trenchant, we are a key component of L3Harris’ Intelligence & Cyber Division. We are a trusted, discrete partner furnishing security products, consultancy, training and integration services to allied security, defence, and law enforcement agencies.

The position will require domestic and overseas travel.

As part of the Global Software Operations team, you’ll play a key role in strengthening and modernizing our core Cyber services across the region. You’ll be responsible for sequencing the activities of a global engineering operation in service of a larger mission to resarch and deliver a world-class cyber toolkit.

In this role, you’ll lead, mentor and support experienced engineering managers overseeing teams in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.  Your core routines will be centred around providing clear, consistent representation of global engineering effors to stakeholders. Day to day activites will be, but not limited to; devisie and apply communications strategies to align the activites of a global engineering workforce, de-risk proposals through collborative software design, effort estimation and project planning.

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following experience and skills:

• Relevant Degree with a minimum of 10years software experience
• Experience with software lifecycle management suites such as Gitlab
• First hand experience developing software in an agile workflow, inc application of continuois integration strategies and iterative delivery
• Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
• People management experience
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Hold and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance
