Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Engineering Specialist to support the growing product portfolio in our Sterling, VA location. Individual will provide program support in asset management, obsolescence mitigation, inspection of components, and support of training events.
Essential Functions:
Roles & Responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle cost
- Process, track, and close-out the shipment of products (unclassified and classified) to and from customer sites, the depot, and OEMs
- Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property then generate asset reports for distribution to Lab Managers, Lab Custodians, and Quality Assurance
- Conduct asset visibility and obsolescence mitigation for program system sustainment material
- Manage calibration program for lab test equipment
- Manage assets in a secure facility in support of training and other activities
- Inspect optical components for damage, maintain equipment, and request calibration/repair services when needed
- Assist in innovating the strategies for tracking program assets and spare parts to maximize efficiency
- Manage the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the field
Qualifications:
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required
- Ability to lift 45 pounds

- Sunflower EAM Tool Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computer proficient
- Forklift certified
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
