L3Harris is hiring for the role of Contracts Lead. This role serves as a subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of contract management. Duties include: (1) managing large, complex contracts of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction, (2) communicating within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches, (3) making significant improvements in processes, systems, or products, and (4) providing input into new products/processes and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs.
- Serves as the primary communication conduit between Harris and the respective customers.
- Provides a proactive voice in the business process.
- Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids and proposals.
- Prepares and conducts negotiations.
- Processes specifications, progress reports, and other reports.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations.
- Compiles and analyzes data as required. Maintains historical information for assigned contracts.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a business or related field with 9+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably dealing with US Government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Active Secret/FOUO security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with international and commercial contracts is a plus.
- Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS.
- Negotiation experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships
- Advanced education within the discipline, or MBA
- Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience.
- NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $110,000 - $205,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
