Job Description:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by interfacing with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule through commodities areas. The work will include communicating, coordinating, and negotiating workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met
Essential Functions:
- Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules
- Monitor order status, including material status, managing work in progress (WIP) areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support
- Analyze material configuration and job order status using SAP (ERP/MRP system)
- Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments
- Stage daily work using factory Visual Management Systems (VMS)
- Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time
- Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions
- Regularly lifting, twisting, bending, and rotating with up to 32 pounds
- Working overtime, nontraditional days or hours, and weekends/holidays when needed
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in Military, Manufacturing, Construction, Healthcare, Production, Assembly, Warehouse, etc.
- Experience with face to face customer service, communications, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with, or exposure to, Project Management related work
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)
- Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
