Job Description:
Responsible for performing inspections on materials, equipment, electromechanical assemblies, panel/module level assemblies. Interprets manufacturing drawings, specifications, QAPPs (Quality Clause) and both commercial and government documentation required for presentation and shipping. Is responsible for validating products and documentation for compliance to all applicable requirements and preparing items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery.
Essential Functions:
- Inspection of products and their associated documents in accordance with L3Harris Workmanship Standards, engineering requirements, customer specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, and other requirements as needed
- Ensure that products and services conform to established company standards
- Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement of the processes and products
- Understand and assist with corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis
- Provide feedback on Inspection Control Plans for MN’s worked in area
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior inspection experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior inspection experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong computer skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a team environment to solve problems.
- Experience with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
- Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies
