Job Description:

L3Harris Tactical Communications Sector is currently seeking a technical Product Manager to support products in our waveform portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a product strategy – aligning markets needs to the product roadmap, updating pricing, and promoting the product. This role will also involve technical related work, including writing whitepapers and responding to RFIs/RFPs. This role will involve working cross functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, finance and program management.

Essential Functions:

• Product manager is responsible for all aspects of their assigned products – roadmaps, sales, strategy, development and financial performance.
• Product manager is responsible for having a technical understanding of their product.
• Interface directly with customers to understand Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Use Cases, overall customer requirements and market demands to influence roadmaps.
• Create and maintain roadmaps, determine value based pricing and perform competitive analysis.
• Promote products through creation of marketing materials, to support both internal and external customers.
• Brief both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in trade shows, briefings and demonstrations to showcase product capabilities.
• Manage product budgets for both product enhancements and sustainment.
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• This position will require the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with RF tactical communication networks – radios, waveforms, wireliness networking, IP networking management and routing.
• Experience in sales and front-end business operations, including effective face-to-face customer interactions to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong technical background – Engineering degree is preferred
• Experience interfacing directly with military customers
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales and marketing.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment
• Proficient in tactical radio product lines

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $87,000 - $161,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
