Job Description:

L3Harris Model Shop is seeking a precision machinist/fabricator to contribute in the delivery of prototype parts as well as short run of factory support product and test fixtures. You will be working together with a small group of quality minded individuals. You will be exposed to machining and fabrication methods by programming, setting up and operating HAAS Lathes, HAAS 3 and 5 axis mills, Omax water jet, Amada press Brakes as well as secondary operation equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches
• Math skills
• Knowledge of manual and CNC machining and fabrication methods
• Program, setup and operation of relevant equipment (LATHES, MILLS, PRESS BRAKES)
• US citizenship 

Qualifications:

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of prior relevant Machinst experience or 2 year post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant Machinst experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge in Mastercam, Gibbscam and Creo software
• Amada (VPSS 3i bend) software
• Aluminum welding and grinding
• Material handling methods

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $51,000 - $94,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
