Job Description:
Responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, schedule and risks for complex International programs. Work with Sales/Customers/International Representatives to determine needs and requirements for new business opportunities.
Management of complex programs to include the delivery of communication systems, Transfer of Production or Transfer of Technology to International Customers. Lead cross-functional program teams to ensure that all resources such as Engineering, Technical Support, Subcontractors (US and international), Production and facilities are available and aligned to meet program objectives. Drive program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for revenue, operating income, and free cash flow. Ensure timely & clear communication to Senior Management on program performance.
Direct the preparation of mid to large size proposals, proposal statements of work and specifications, operating budget and financial terms/conditions of a contract. Manage proposals through cost & price approval review process. Engage in the negotiation of contracts with Customers and Subcontractors. Be fully cognizant of contractual requirements and implications for program performance.
Candidate must be willing to travel to the African region, less than 30%.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Program Management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Program Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Program Management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience managing international programs in Africa or the Middle East
- Familiar with tactical communication technology or C4I systems preferred
- Experience with localization/offset program management
- Experience with Manufacturing/Production/Assembly line or factory operations a plus
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools
- PMI certification and Earned Value Management experience a plus
- Experience leading, directing and reviewing the work of direct report(s) who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead an internationally distributed team
- Experience in managing mid-size to large International programs
- Knowledge of US and International procurement processes. Experience with FMS and international direct commercial sales contracts highly desired
- Experience with international shipping terms and ITAR export control regulations
- Understanding of business financials and international terms of payment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $106,500 - $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
