Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician C to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by supporting all aspects of the AOI and X-Ray process on fourth shift at the Jefferson Road Operations Center. This role will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and repairing this equipment while balancing equipment support with improvement initiatives. It will be essential for this role to work well with cross functional teams to understand and prioritize shop floor issues and communicate with other shifts to relay issues faced and resolved.
Essential Functions:
- Provide support to Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to provide inspection capability of printed circuit boards
- Support activities including development of new programs, optimizing existing programs to reduce false calls, and working with Focused Factory operators to understand and resolve quality issues
- Investigate, initiate, and institute quality improvement opportunities through data analysis and program optimization—Requires working closely with Quality, Test, and Operations to drive failures to root cause
- Support equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- SMT (Solder Paste Print, Pick and Place, Reflow) process knowledge of high reliability electronics, including BGA, micro BGA, CSP, and QFN components
- Self-Starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision; Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet production needs
- Experience with e3 (Lean/6 Sigma), 5S, and Kaizen tools and processes
- Working knowledge of IPC documentation, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $53,000-$98,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
