Job Description:
Reliability Engineer supporting space hardware. Under guidance of the group lead, the engineer will perform analyses to minimize component failures, determine system-level effects of component failures, and calculate the probability of system success.
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to obtain a US Government Clearance.
- Learn and perform reliability engineering analyses per L3Harris processes:
- Calculate system reliability metrics (e.g. failure rate, probability of success).
- Understand system functions and analyze potential failures via failure modes, effects, and criticality analyses (FMECA).
- Facilitate electrical part stress and derating analyses.
- Perform Limited Life Item Analysis.
- Participate in failure review board (FRB) investigations.
- Interact with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and drive change when necessary.
- Write and publish technical reports for internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field.
- Classes in electrical circuit analysis, statistics, and calculus.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with at least one programming language
- Interpersonal skills
