Job Description:
The Instructor, Special Signals Operator is responsible for providing classroom, simulator, and in-flight instruction to the end-user identified for Special Signal Operator (SSO) upgrade. The candidate shall present the SSO course written and delivered to the end-user. They will provide special signals theory and practical instruction in the simulator and during aerial training flights with regards to aircraft familiarization, emergency equipment, checklist usage, position setup, position operation, required mission documentation, and position shutdown. They will document all training and provide advice to the squadron training section when the student is ready for formal upgrade.
Essential Functions:
- Operational SIGINT systems experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Special Signals communications.
- Instructing signal theory on strategic ISR aircraft and ground systems to the end-user.
- Provides On-the-Job (OJT) training and instruction to the end-user on the aircraft, simulated environment, and classroom.
- Responsible for attending all required meetings, briefings, and required field training courses.
- Communicates within the job site and the PMO to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
- Interfaces with the customer to ensure retention of training.
- Ability to accommodate multiple tasking sources and able to adapt to new tasks.
- Strong networking and communication skills. (Verbal, Written, and Presentation.)
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
- RF design understanding.
- Operational experience with Special Signal collections.
- Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
- Work must be accomplished onsite in Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and assist team members with various tasks when tasked.
- Ability to complete tasks in a largely unsupervised, team environment.
- Experience with aircraft forms and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with nine (9) years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- Master’s Degree with seven (7) years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of ISR Mission Systems and Subsystems experience.
- Must obtain FAA Class 3 Flight Physical certification within 120 days of accepting position.
- Must relocate to Saudi Arabia within 120 days of accepting position.
- Active DoD TOP Secret with SCI Security Clearance at time of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working overseas with foreign customers.
- Living and/or working in the middle east.
- Cybersecurity Certification such as Sec+, CASP+, CySA or CISSP.
