Job Description:
The L3Harris Field Engineering team has an availability for a Field Technician to join our team in NV. This position will assemble and provision Land Mobile Radio (LMR) sites and network servers within the greater NV region. The role will work with 3-4 person teams as well as be assigned individual tasks. Product specific training will be provided while assigned to duties. The ideal candidate will have basic electronics and network skills to be successful in the position.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift carry assemble various networking components in assorted in-field locations throughout NV region
- General basic equipment installation skills – light assembly bolt on actions
- Trouble shoot network connectivity issues in field
- Trouble shoot LMR-RF issues in field to resolution
- Install and configure various proprietary and commercial SW applications on servers or network devices
- 80-90% infield work – some overnight travel up to 3-4 nights in region 50+%
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with LMR and/or P25 radio system maintenance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to review and understand as built technical plans –
- Security Clearance desired – min. must be able to pass background check
- Ability to work independently and in team environment
- Prior Military communications experience
- CISCO Certifications
- Microwave background
- Network intranet/internet experience or certifications
- Basic electronics and electrical skills
- Basic RF skills (Radio Frequency knowledge)
- Basic ability to access and configure various networking applications
