About the role 

Located in Pinkenba, the L3Harris Integration and Sustainment Centre a multi-faceted maintenance support entity that provides the L3Harris Communications Australia programs with through life maintenance support. Within this facility, as the lead of the Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for trouble shooting, problem solving and repair in support of a large fleet of Tactical Communications, ancillaries and digital radio equipment. Returning equipment to the user in a timely manner in a serviceable condition. Scheduling technical resources and personnel.

In this role, you will use test instrumentation and equipment to diagnose faults in digital and analogue assemblies within customer support environments. You’ll provide technical support and guidance to Maintenance Team members and assist engineering functions as needed. Using data collection tools, you’ll manage workflows, analyse failure trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves providing customer support on product diagnostics, which may include occasional on-site visits.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing RF, digital, and analogue circuits down to module level.

  • Strong background in identifying and troubleshooting faults in digital and analogue circuits at module level.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including engineering drawings and circuit schematics.

  • Proven ability to plan, schedule, and prioritise tasks effectively to meet challenging deadlines and customer requirements.

  • Experienced in conducting technical analyses and clearly communicating findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

  • Skilled in setting up and using test instrumentation to replicate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) failures for diagnostic purposes.

What you’ll bring 

The role requires the following experience and skills:

•           Certificate III or higher in Electronics and Communications, or equivalent.

Desirable

1.         Experience in RF, digital and analogue circuit diagnostics to component level.

2.         Prior ADF experience in technical maintenance of communication equipment.

3.         Experience using the Defence ERP program.
