Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in Palm Bay, FL. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Linux administration, with proven ability to configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot both physical and virtual Linux environments.
This is a hands-on, onsite position requiring daily presence at our Palm Bay facility. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of implementing security-compliant solutions and maintaining robust, resilient IT infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
- Configure, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot Linux systems (physical and virtual)
- Experience deploying infrastructure through automation
- Familiarity with implementing and maintaining security controls in compliance with DoD security frameworks
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes
- Experience in Linux automation using Kickstart, Podman, Ansible and Puppet
- Experience integrating Linux and Windows systems together in a unified Active Directory Domain
- Experience in creating and using containers in a LINUX and Windows Environment
- Experience customizing/optimizing/trouble shooting enterprise level applications
- Security administration experience in support of cybersecurity RMF requirements
- Experience with testing applications such as Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket
- Experience in using and creating LDAP for Windows and LINUX IDM
- Work must be accomplished onsite
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g. Security +) within 180 days of time of hired
- Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Current Linux Certifications such as:
- RedHat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE)
- CompTIA Linux+
- Experience in the use of IT tools for managing and troubleshooting complex computer networks
- Previous experience supporting DoD & IC Government customers
- Hardware/software requirement verification/system validation experience
- Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with Virtualization (KVM), Backup Technologies such as NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SAS
- Experience supporting DoD/government customers
- Experience integrating and administering cross-domain systems
- Experience with microservices, containers (i.e., docker)
