Job Description:

This mid-career Antenna Engineer position will support the execution of verification testing for complex antennas and systems including reflector antennas, feeds and phased array systems.  Activities include: box-level through spacecraft-level antenna functional and performance calibration and characterization, antenna range testing, thermal characterization, emissions and susceptibility testing, G/T testing, etc. This position also supports the generation of antenna performance documentation such as test reports and specification compliance assessments. This position may serve as an RF/Antenna technical interface with internal management and program technical leads.

Essential Functions:

• Interpret and understand complex antenna test system architectures involving multiple, coordinated test equipment assets including network analyzers, microwave receivers, RF sources, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, etc.
• Execute in a multi-disciplinary (RF, Mechanical, I&T, Manufacturing, Thermal, Digital, etc.) engineering team to test antenna products, resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystems, and realize complex system architectures
• Understand traditional antenna test methods such as far-field, planar near-field and spherical near-field with ability to lead test execution
• Support complex test programs using standard test and measurement equipment (Keysight, Agilent, Rohde & Schwarz, NSI-MI)
• Work to engineering documentation including technical specifications, test procedures and test plans.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form to deliver complex technical information  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• 4 years of experience with antenna system test supporting design, development, manufacturing and verification
• Experience with analysis and data visualization tools such as Matlab, Python and/or other antenna analysis tools. 
• Experience working with cross-discipline teams (mechanical, structural, thermal, power, RF, Antenna, electrical, etc.) in the development and execution of detailed test plans and procedures for antenna systems.
• Experience executing antenna system hardware verification testing at acceptance, proto-flight and qualification levels
• Experience with antenna test tools, software and methods
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment
